A visit with Grace

My cousin, Becky, her husband, Derek, and their “baby” Grace came to MN this weekend to have Grace meet our Grandma.  We spent Sunday with them, first at the Pizza Ranch and then at my parents.  It was so nice to see them and have the girls get some playtime together. 

We just call them cousins and Grace’s parents are Aunt Becky and Uncle Derek.  When we were growing up as cousins, we spent a lot of time together and would love to get our girls together as much as we can.  We’re thinking that at our family reunion next summer, they might spend more time actually playing together, instead of just playing in the same place.  :)


We might have overwhelmed Grandma a bit by showing up with seven visitors all at the same time, so we didn’t stay too long, but we got a good shot of the girls with her. 


Dan and I also discovered that, as parents, the best way to travel is with an entertaining Uncle in the back seat.  Sophia had a fabulous time with Uncle Andrew, who drove out with us, and kept him busy on both two hour car rides.  When we dropped him off he was exhausted, had a headache and was, I’m sure, ready for a break.    We’re thinking that a mini-van may be in order sooner than later, since once we have two kids, we’ll need room for both of their uncles back there!
