The last of the birthday photos…

I think I’m one of those mom’s who takes way too many pictures. BUT, as my Aunt Carolyn has told me many times, it’s good to take pictures of EVERYTHING because they grow up way too fast!
Sophia got more than just baby doll gear for her birthday. We noticed earlier in the summer that she is a natural when it comes to soccer, so she got a pink soccer ball. It’s a little big for her (size 3, I think), but it will last her a while and now we have a ball we can keep in the car for the park. Does that make me an official soccer mom?
We had a family birthday lunch at Smash Burger, and got her a hot dog – big hit!
And, of course, a birthday dinner and birthday cake. We did a shared birthday dinner with her Grandpa Jeff, who shares her birthday.
We also gave her some Color Wonder markers and paper, which I love because she drew a lovely crayon picture on her play kitchen, so I’m happy that these will only work on the Color Wonder drawing pad. One other thing we discovered about markers is that, apparently, they’re more fun to match together (tops and bottoms) than they are to use on the paper, AND they’re great for learning colors!
And now that she’s been completely spoiled, let’s upend her world and really teach her how to share (time, space, toys, mom and dad, etc.) with her new sister…in no less than 18 days!!!
