I have a baby girl, and her name is...

...haha! If only I new, and if I did, would I dare proclaim it on our blog, without a picture and before informing grandparents? I think not. Sorry for the tease - this process has been a bit frustrating, so it's nice to have a little fun in the midst of it.
I'm not sure why it's so hard this time around, but I do think I'm driving our families(and by families, I mostly mean grandparents) crazy, Dan and myself included. With Sophia's name, we decided the day of our 20 week ultrasound and that was it. I did waver for the first couple weeks after she was born and wonder if we chose the right name, so maybe that's part of what's going on this time. I think it also never occurred to me that we would have more than one girl. Neither Dan or I have a sister, so I assumed we'd have more boys than girls. I think I'm worried that this is the last time I will get to choose a girl name so I want to make sure we both LOVE it.
All that to say, I think I've given up on trying to decide. If that means going to the hospital pretty sure about her name, fine, so be it.
If that means that she won't have the same "first bath at home" picture with her name on her hooded towel, like Sophia does, fine.
If that means that her name is not on the wall in cute letters a week ahead of time, like it was with Sophia, fine.
Really, does she need to do everything like her big sister anyway?? Probably not.
My only concern at this point is that she have a name on her birth certificate when we leave the hospital. If it looks like we can't pull that off, than I guess we'll just camp out at the hospital until we figure it out.

Both Katie and Matt weren't named until they were a couple days old. They wouldn't let us out of the hospital without the birth certificate filled out..... Katie came early, so we just weren't prepared. With Matt we just couldn't decide. Your child will "become" whatever you name her. Don't worry too much about it. You'll decide on a perfectly nice name. Eventually.
