Party Time

I’ve mentioned before, that this year I haven’t felt super motivated to plan Sophia’s party.  HOWEVER, it’s now less than two weeks away, the invitations will finally arrive today, so I can send them off and preparations are in full swing. 

 

I found some cute clearance paper yesterday at Archiver’s to make a Happy Birthday Banner, I’ve been thinking about cake ideas and doing a bit of planning for what other foods we’ll have at the party. 

We now have a theme and that is to make is all about Sophia’s Favorites – the menu will probably include hot dogs (unfortunately), trail mix, blueberries, flavored milk and applesauce (and maybe something more interesting to feed the grown-ups), and the party will be all about books, the playground and swimming.  She’s also super into her babies, but she’ll get plenty of baby time in September so I think it’s okay to skip that favorite.

And just in case you forgot how cute she is, I’ll leave you with a picture of her as I found her Saturday afternoon.  We were trying to wake her up so she could go to a pool party and she was completely out of it.  I couldn’t help but think she looked absolutely perfect, like a little porcelain doll.  :)  Imagine that – a mother who thinks her baby girl is perfect, gorgeous and completely irresistible!
