My very own Fancy Nancy

Do you know the Fancy Nancy books?  I think they’re adorable!  They’ve become a franchise since I learned about them a few years back and there is now Fancy Nancy everything.  I actually find it kind of annoying.  I don’t love when great books get over-marketed, same reason I’m sort of anti-Disney Princesses, simply because they’re everywhere. 



Some of the books are about being fancy, and some focus on a more specific topic and make it really fun – they even find a way to make bugs fun, exciting, and even a little fancy for girls.

The book where Nancy gets a new puppy is one of Sophia’s favorite right now.

I never imagined I’d have a girly-girl daughter.  It just never occurred to me, even though the thought of it was SO fun!   Well, I do.  She likes dress-up, pretties, LOVES her purse and to pretend going shopping, and her babies are a big deal right now. 

This week, after doing some baking with her apron on, she decided she also needed a tutu and a scarf.  I LOVE her style!
