Sophia’s Fall Wardrobe | Cheap Jeans and New Shirts
Friday, September 16, 2011
I got a ton a steals for Sophia from Gap over the summer. I knew what I was expecting to get for her – I was looking for pants. Shirts are easier and faster to sew (I’m assuming anyway – I’ve never tried them), so I kept my eye out for deals. I was able to get her three pairs of adorable jeans at babyGap for a total of $25. Wide leg, dark-wash boot-cut, and light colored boot-cut. She also still fits in her skinny jeans, especially since those look better when they’re not too long.
She’s got some new shirts – check ‘
em out! Each shirt is matched with a different pair of cutie pie jeans. Apparently, I’m blessed with a babe that will cooperate for a photo shoot, I just don’t have the photo skills to go with it. Oh well – you can’t have it all!
I finished these two a while ago, but hadn’t gotten a picture of her.
Long-sleeved, front and back
And, short-sleeved, front and back
I have to say, I enjoy sewing and it’s been fun to learn and I love when something turns out great and I love it on her. BUT…I still like shopping better! :)
This shirt was a good deal, especially now that I understand how much work it would take to do all the detailing on it, but I’m SO glad I bought it and didn’t take the time to make it. It’s one of my new favorites!
(Um…could she get any more beautiful?!!)
And, last, but definitely not least, Sophia’s new shirt from Janie and Jack. Her Uncle Andrew is a GREAT shopper and bought her a generous gift card to Mommy’s Sophia’s favorite store. Dan picked this out and I love how it looks on her. You can’t see it, but there is a tiny puppy on the front, which of course makes it her puppy shirt. We can’t wait until more of our favorites go on sale and we can use the rest of the card!
